In India, when a cow’s ability to provide milk decreases or ends, these animals are mistreated and seen as a burden to families. As a result, these cows suffer greatly.
SRI SAKTHI AMMA initiated the Gho Samrakshana. (Protection of Cows) This project under the spiritual guidance of Beloved Amma ensures that a dedicated area is located to the housing and care of rescued and unwanted cows, many of whom would have otherwise been sent to the slaughter house.
Due to the great care these cows receive, and the lovely natural surroundings, some cows have begun producing milk again.
